Despite both genders being susceptible to the infection, women are most vulnerable due to their anatomy and reproductive physiology. In this course, we learn the basics of a urinary tract system, the functions of some organs, and answer the question, “What triggers urinary tract infections?”

Dr. Salmah Abdulhamid

Dr. Salmah is the author of this course. She is a medical doctor from Nigeria, who completed her internship training at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) where she had professional interactions with several NGOs that referred patients to the hospital for expert management. She worked as a Medical officer at INEC clinic and has certificate in project management from the University of Washington.
